The European Commission has allowed air carriers to use 5G technology on board planes
Passengers will be able to use the Internet without turning on "Airplane mode" on their mobile devices. The Internet will be available on board, which will install a special "pico-cell" system that will connect users with land-based mobile communications via satellite. According to the decision of the European Commission, EU members will have to provide access to 5GHz frequencies for use in transport no later than June 30, 2023. It is noted that this will also allow free use of 5G Internet while traveling by bus or car.
