An new EU regulation on the use of Ukrainian national driver's licenses in member states only pertains to people who have temporary or sufficient protection in those nations.

In the following nations, starting at the end of July: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Finland, France, Croatia, Sweden, and the Czech Republic, you can:

- use an old-style Ukrainian driver's license, which is only written in Cyrillic and does not have an expiration date, without the need for an additional certified translation or an international driver's license;

- use a Ukrainian driver's license after its expiration in 2022 (it is relevant for licenses issued for the time period of protection, not just for the first six months);

- obtain a temporary (for the period of passing under protection) EU model driver's license in case of loss or theft of a Ukrainian driver's license without making requests - sufficient verification of the authenticity of the right to drive the country obtained in Ukraine, as well as verification of compliance with the standards of physical and mental suitability for registration . .
